Existing humanitarian crises in Sudanese Darfour and the ways of solution

The Current Humanitarian Crisis in Darfur, Sudan, and its Resolutions For more than ten years, Darfur, located in the Western part of the Sudan, has been a synonym for one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes of our time. The objective of my dissertation is to search for answers to the following questions: What are the proposed actions for solving the Darfur crisis? What has been the approach of international players to solving the Darfur crisis? Are the proposed solutions effective and mutually compatible? The key issue for me is to analyze the proposed solutions to the Darfur crisis and the actions and positions of multi-national (United Nations, European Union, African Union, NATO, League of Arab States) and national actors (US, China, France, etc.). I am interested in how they have approached the crisis, and which actions they have supported and why. In addition, I will seek to find out why they have changed their positions or strategies during the evolution of the crisis. I will focus mainly on the issue of peace enforcement within the context of pronouncing the conflict as genocide, the Darfur peace process, peacekeeping missions and the question of promoting justice by the International Criminal Court.
